A level control on a wire, with a mute.
Use it to trim a signal before an effect, to ride one branch of a patch, or as a kill switch. The Gain knob is a socket: cord a Follower, an LFO or a Number onto it and the level follows, which gives you a sidechain duck, a tremolo or a fade without another organism. For several inputs with their own levels, use a Mixer.
Parameters
| Gain | Boosts or attenuates the signal. Trim here rather than at the source so the source keeps its own headroom. |
| Mute | Silences the output. Map it to a button or a MIDI note for a clean cut. |
Recipe
| Sidechain duck | Cord the kick into a Follower and the Follower's env onto this Gain, placed on the bass. Set the Follower's release to a beat and lower the depth until the bass breathes rather than pumps. |
