The Repeater is always listening. Press Repeat and the last Length of audio, from a sixteenth of a bar to four bars, plays in repeats that land on the beat; release and the live signal takes over again. By default every cycle re-grabs the freshest window, so filter moves and pattern changes keep flowing through the repeats; Hold latches one slice instead and repeats it until you let go, even if the source stops. Loop edges are crossfaded, so melodic material rolls without clicks, and with the transport stopped it still repeats the last Length ending now. Cord a Drums organism or a Deck through it.

Parameters

RepeatStarts the roll while it is down. Map it to a pad or key for the hold-to-roll feel.
HoldLatches the slice caught when Repeat went down instead of following the live signal. The freeze for build-ups.
LengthThe size of the window, from 1/16 bar to 4 bars. Change it while rolling and the roll re-slices on the same grid.
MixAt 1 the roll replaces the signal; lower it to layer the roll over the live material.

Recipe

Tightening buildCord a Drums organism in, Mix 1, Hold off. Map Repeat to a pad and, holding it, walk Length down from 1 bar through 1/2 bar and 1/4 bar to 1/8 bar over the last bars before a drop, then release on the downbeat.
